Something amazing happens when a Kiwi kid puts on their event shirt for the first time and something even more amazing happens when they cross the finish line, arms raised, and receive their Champions finishers’ medal from one of NZ’s leading sports stars.
It’s a feeling of excitement, independence and pride – and we want to be able to share that feeling with every Kiwi kid around the country by helping them TRY IT ON too.
What is TRY IT ON?
TRY IT ON is a fundraising programme that lets TRYathlon participants fundraise so less fortunate kids from their community can participate in a Weet-Bix™ Kids TRYathlon™ event too!
Children can help fundraise by committing to a personal challenge like training for the TRYathlon™, doing jobs at home and getting sponsors or simply asking for donations. It’s up to them!
100% of funds you raise will go directly towards supporting children in and around your local community.
TRY IT ON now - It’s as easy as 1,2,3 or swim, bike, run!
Step 1 – Create an account
To create a TRY IT ON fundraising page please click here.
Step 2 – Set a fundraising goal
To complete your account profile set yourself a fundraising goal – the amount that you want to try and fundraise.
You may also want to set yourself a personal challenge that will help you get sponsorship or donations. This could be committing to training for the TRYathlon (e.g: going for 3 runs a week) or doing jobs around the house.
Step 3 – Start fundraising
Once you have activated your profile and set yourself a fundraising goal, share your page’s link to spread the word. Easy!

Then watch your donations grow and know that you are helping other Kiwi kids cross the finish-line!
